Q. Do you enjoy your job or study?
A. Yes, I really enjoy my job. Ever since I was a child I have always wanted to be a doctor; I’ve always wanted to be able to help people.
Q. What’s the best thing about your job?
A. The best thing about my job is that I can make a difference in people’s lives. It’s a great feeling to see someone recover after an illness because my colleagues and I were able to help.
Q. Do you prefer working alone or with others?
A. In a hospital you have to work as part of a team. I’ve gotten used to working with others, and I think you can achieve a lot more as a team than you would alone.
Q. Could you tell me a typical day of yours at work?
A. Sure, I typically start work at 9am. From that point onwards I address and reply to consumer and client emails. Once that is complete, I meet with my supervisors, and if they ask, I prepare the board room for an afternoon meeting. This requires me to send out formal group invitations to requested employees, prepare baked goods and tea, and make a document to prepare meeting minutes. By 5pm I wrap up all daily tasks and prepare to go home.
Q. What is your dream job?
A. My dream job is anything that will allow me the opportunity to travel, earn a decent salary, spend enough time with my family, and allow me the time to heal after sickness or injury without perjury from supervisors and coworkers.

Q. Did you go to secondary/high school near where you lived? Why or why not?
A. No, I didn’t go to a high school close to my place. I was interested in improving my English, but the schools close to my house didn’t have a good curriculum. Instead of going to a local public school, I commuted about an hour to go to a school with good English language courses.
Q. What did you like about your secondary/high school? Why?
A.I liked the teachers there. They were very unique, had a lot of knowledge, loved students, and were very creative in how they delivered and organized classroom activities. To this day, I still keep in touch with some of the teachers from that school.
Q. Tell me about anything you didn’t like at your school.
A.I didn’t like how girls had cliques and how they hung out only with their friends in their groups. I’m a kind of person who wants to hang out with many people, so building friendships beyond my clique was a challenge.
Q. How do you think your school could be improved? Why or why not?
A.I think my school could be improved in terms of their facilities. One of the gymnasiums was very old, and there was a rumor that the roof would fall off if a big earthquake should occur. Also, classrooms were small compared to the number of students. I recently heard that the school is now under construction to renew their facilities though.
Q. Do you think it’s better to have a teacher or to teach yourself?
A. Well, there’s no substitute for a good teacher. I think you can teach yourself, but you can learn a lot more quickly with the guidance of a teacher. For example, when learning a language, you really need someone to correct your mistakes; you can get the grammar and vocabulary from books, but books can’t tell you where you’re going wrong.
