「ディクテーション」というリスニング力強化のためのトレーニングを聞いたことがある人も多いかと思います。
当校でも効果的なディクテーションのやり方を別記事（下記参照）で紹介しており、リスニング力を鍛えるため日々の英語学習に取り入れてほしい学習法です。
ディクテーションとは、日本語でいうと「英語書き取り」の事で、
英語の音声を聞き、その内容を一語ずつ書き取っていく学習方法です。
聞こえてきた英語をそのまま、正確に文字にすることで、音とスペル、文の構造を同時に養っていくことができるすぐれもの。
特に英語学習の初期段階では、単語を知っていても音として認識できないことが多いため、リスニング力の土台を作るうえで非常に効果的なトレーニングです。
また、英語を書くことで、音声が正確に聞き取れなくても、単語、単語のスペルや、文法的に入りそうなものを予測して書きとるので、英語の感覚が少しずつ身につき、語彙力やスペルの強化、正しい英文法の技術も磨けます。
ディクテーションの効果的な学習方法
ディクテーションは、毎日、コツコツやっていくことが必要なトレーニング法で、効果的な学習方が必須です。
最初は、１文を一度で全てを聞き取れなくても大丈夫ですが、1単語ずつ区切っていかないように注意しましょう。
なぜかというと、英語はチャンク（語のかたまり）で意味を成すものなので一語ずつ正確に書きだせても、文のつながりを把握しながら区切ることの方が断然に効果的です。
何度も音声を聞き直し手も大丈夫。しかしやっていくうちに一回で聞き取れるように回数を少なくしていく努力は必要です。書きとった後は、スクリプトを見て答え合わせすること。
「どの部分を聞き取れなかったのか」、または、ど「うして聞き間違えたのか」、を復習するの事により自分の弱点を把握することができます。
そしてスクリプトを見ずに再度流して、内容がしっかり頭の中に入ってくるか確かめましょう。
